Overview

Responsible for managing and facilitating the daily administrative activities to properly administer the company’s retirement plan.

Responsibilities

  • Generate monthly reports, analyze, edit, and send 401(k) data in a timely manner
  • Confirm contribution totals, obtain approvals, complete wire transfers, and submit payments
  • Import deferral and loan data into the payroll system
  • Liaison with auditors and vendors to ensure compliance with all Federal deadlines and regulations
  • Prepare the annual 401k plan audits, 5500’s, SSN Form 8955, and annual reports
  • Prepare and electronically submit the 401k Form 5500
  • Extract and edit data for the annual 401k plan discrimination testing
  • Assist with planning and record keeping for the Benefit Committee meetings
  • Assist with various Health & Welfare processes as necessary
  • Maintain concentration and focus in order to meet performance goals
  • React positively to an ongoing, changing environment
  • Demonstrate the ability to handle pressure when attempting to meet deadlines and performance goals
  • Maintain good working relationship with assigned supervisors and coworkers
  • Work safely without presenting a threat to self or others
  • Perform additional duties as required by management

Qualifications

Education:

High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university preferred.

 

Experience:

  • 5 + years’ experience in 401k administration, data technology, and working with integrated systems required. 3 + years’ experience of report writing required. Experience with PeopleSoft and ADP a plus.

 

Computer Experience:

Must be able to type quickly and accurately, use a mouse effectively, and have a basic understanding of Windows-based operating systems.
