  • Overview

    Develops and maintains GC Services’ training material as directed.


    • Designs training programs and other interventions including: instructor-led courses, online courses, and performance interventions for staff and management
    • Develops and updates course content, coordinates curricula, and assists in the implementation of such programs
    • Conducts assessment and analysis to identify learning and performance needs, and recommends training or other solutions appropriately
    • Maintains in-depth and up-to-date knowledge within the instructional design and learning & development disciplines
    • Relies on experience and/or sound judgment to plan and accomplish goals
    • Collaborate with designated content experts to fully understand learning and performance needs
    • Utilize knowledge of adult learning principles to recommend the most appropriate instructional methods/media based on desired learning/performance objectives, and known delivery constraints
    • Develop and implement proprietary and client-specific learning programs including: instructor-led training materials, e-learning, computer tutorials, reference workbooks, job aids, and presentations
    • Update existing learning programs as necessary
    • Assist in collecting data/feedback on impact of programs
    • Collaborate as a member of the Organizational Development and Human Resources teams on a variety of projects as is required by the business
    • Deliver instruction occasionally as needed in order to provide departmental support for the field
    • Provide support for field training operations as needed
    • Maintain concentration and focus in order to meet performance goals

    Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Development, Adult Learning, Instructional Design or similar required. (Masters in similar field preferred.) Currently enrolled undergraduate students considered if fewer than 15 credit hours remain to complete the degree



    • Equivalent work experience may be substituted in lieu of the undergraduate education requirement
    • Prior experience designing corporate training programs utilizing a variety of media such as e-learning, instructor-led courses, and blended solutions
    • Demonstrated application of instructional systems design models/principles 


    Computer Experience:

    Uses Microsoft operating systems, Microsoft Office (especially PowerPoint and Word), and eLearning authoring tools (e.g. Articulate Studio/Storyline, Captivate)


    Skills & Abilities:

    • Occasional overnight travel (less than 10%)
