Perform verification and reconciliation of various general ledger and bank trust accounts. Responsible for tracking payments to ensure accurate posting, and remittance to clients. Perform daily balancing activities and reporting functions. Research, analyze and resolve imbalances on accounts. Assist with internal and external audits. 

Responsibilities

  • Monthly reconciliation of general ledger accounts
  • Preparation of journal entries
  • Research and recommend resolution of outstanding reconciliation issues
  • Adhere to Company attendance, punctuality, and meal and rest break requirements
  • Use Excel, Word and Outlook
  • Maintain concentration and focus in order to meet performance goals
  • Support cross-functional team
  • React positively to an ongoing, changing environment
  • Demonstrate the ability to handle pressure when attempting to meet deadlines and performance goals
  • Maintain good working relationship with assigned supervisors and coworkers
  • Work safely without presenting a threat to self or others
  • Perform additional duties as required by management from time to time

Qualifications

 

Education:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent required
  • Some accounting is a plue

 

Experience:

  • 1 -2 years’ experience in reconciling and resolving discrepancy issues required
  • Experience with creating journal entries
  • Experience in researching and resolving outstanding reconciliation items
  • PeopleSoft knowledge a plus

 

Computer Experience:

  • Employees must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Intermediate to Expert level)

  • Must be able to interact and communicate with all levels of personnel within the organization
  • Ability to multi task and handle a high volume workflow
  • Must be able to meet schedule deadlines
