The Director of Collections is responsible for the overall management and operation of third-party collections. The Director is responsible for the development and implementation of strategies that ensure the efficient and effective collection of debts on behalf of clients. This includes overseeing the day-to-day operations of the agency, management staff, developing and implementing policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations and P&L responsibility. This is a remote position.
• Develop and implement strategies to improve debt collection performance and efficiency
• Manage the daily operations including, staffing, training, performance management and P&L responsibility
• Develop and implement policies and procedures for the collection process, ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations
• Provide regular reports on collection performance to clients and management, identifying trends and opportunities for improvement
• Develop and maintain relationships with the clients, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and repeat business
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless integration of collection activities with other business processes
• Oversee the development and implementation of collection campaigns and initiatives including the use of technology and data analytics to improve performance
• Ensure the division meets all performance metrics and targets, including recovery rates, call center metrics and compliance metrics
• Manage vendor relationships, including third-party data providers and technology vendors
• Ensure the division remains up to date with industry developments and best practices, and continuously improve processes and procedures
• Experience working with technology and data analytics to improve collection performance
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
